Celebrities are usually projected either larger than life or distorted unfavorably by the media to attract readership. Celebrities would not become well known if they are perceived as an average type of person in the first place. As such, there is no surprise to know that there are contradictions between their private life and their public personas.
Today, I just read an article what Madonna thinks of Michael Jackson. It’s good to peek into him through the eyes of another celebrity who has worked with him closely for weeks just a few years back.
“We spent a chunk of time together, and became friends, but it never happened. I wrote a bunch of words and presented them to him, and he didn’t want to go there. “He didn’t want to be provocative. And I said, ‘Well, why come to me?’ I mean, that’s like asking Quentin Tarantino to not put any violence in his films. I felt like he was too inhibited, too shy.” (my italics, underscore & highlights)
“ …it used to pain me to see people go write such horrible things about him, accuse him of being a child molester, and all these things that nobody had any proof of because I’ve had plenty of things I’ve been accused of. When I adopted David, I was accused of kidnapping him, for God’s sakes; and it’s very hurtful, and people love to jump on bandwagons. The lynch-mob mentality is pretty scary.”
Hang on to my next post which starts to demystify who Michael Jackson really is, according to Pure Numerology analysis based on his birthdate August 29th, 1958.

Hi John,
that is very interesting indeed, and I have to say I admire Madonna for clearing that up and saying that about him. Because she could have been more provocative is she had wanted to. I certainly admire her ability to get lots of press and think she is a fabulously savvy business woman who backs it all up with great entertainer talent. My hats off to her.
It was only after Michael Jackson’s death that I heard that he had a skin condition that was the real reason behind his skin going lighter. Not about his being ashamed to be a DARK African-American man.
I’m looking forward to this series. Should continue to be highly intriguing.

It is very interesting to hear what one celebrity thinks about another celebrity.
I like the line suggesting that asking Madonna not to be provocative is “like asking Quentin Tarantino to not put any violence in his films”!

I’m looking forward to reading your analysis, Mr. Numerology Expert!
Hi, 29 August just happens to be my birthday. Inhibited and shy are good words for me (although since I know my weakness I work on bringing out qualities that minimise that).
If I was lucky enough to work with Madonna, I’d do whatever. (See loosing my inhibitions already). After all, she the THE Madonna. Good to hear her viewpoint.

I was glad to hear you are going to continue this post. It is true the celebs have a persona and it is not the same as personal life.

John:
When you go into the Michael Jackson analysis could you do it with a good amount of detail of how the numbers add up to the conclusion. Maybe just the methodology would give me the kind of understanding I’m looking for.
Looking forward to your posts.
Marty
Keri,
Your “photo” and image that you use gives me (or others as well?) the impression that you’re mysterious / inhibited. Fit your theme “Everything Alternatives” well.
In life, it is NOT so much what cards we’ve been “given” but how well we play those cards! Sure, it can be a chicken & egg issue.
To sum up, we might not be able to control what happens to us, but for sure we CAN control HOW we response to different challenges and situations. It is not easy, but it can be done.

Interesting what Madonna had to say about him.
I never knew him, but it looked like he may have changed in later years.

That Madonna comment was kind of funny, but at least she know’s herself and isn’t ashamed of it! Have you done her birthday yet?

It has always made me feel bad to hear people put down Michael Jackson. My mom always said “if you don’t have anything good to say, don’t say anything at all.” Many people don’t agree with that, but I do. i hate to hurt people’s feelings.
