Woods reading his well crafted apology speech

Tiger Wood’s wordings in his apology telecasted live today is well crafted.

The media photo showing that he is READING from his apology message does NOT reflect well on his level of sincerity.

How can someone REALLY means what he says needs to READ from written notes? I wonder.

Woods definitely needs public speaking training BEFORE this apology. He is eloquently expressive by nature (”30″ from his birth day).  It’s tragic to his family and those who trust his clean family man image when he expresses his romantic inclinations (the “2″ from his birth month December) in such blatant ways over the years.

Money brings fame and all the “trimmings” including those less than desirable elements and traits along with it. It all depends how the person handles those powers.

Sex addicts …. Michael Douglas, Charlie Sheen,  Australian cricketer Shane Wayne …. the list can be quite LONG.

Can ANY long term addiction fixed by short term “therapy”? Ask those who are obese and you’ll get the answer.

Both eating (food) and sex is part of the basic 16 human core desires. Some are more inclined to a few particular desires out of the lot. Sex is one of  Woods’ MAJOR drivers.

Is Tiger Woods out of the woods now?

Nope!

At the end of the day, we all still need to live. So as long as we can give extraordinary values in our offerings that can lift up the life of our clients, it’s good to see our life also get brighter too.

Just like what lynn Lane reiterates his previous message  in his current video: You enjoy doing what you do for free. But you do it so well that you end up getting paid for doing it. His suggested “Enduringness” to replace “Tenacity” to make 3 straight “Es” as personal branding foundation is worth pondering – Ethics, Enthusiasm and Enduringness . Thanks, Lyn.

I totally agree with you all in the way how to manage the Wants Vs Needs issue to get the real dough delivered to the clients. Brilliant!

That brings me to talk about my personal branding.

April Braswell, our beloved Boomer Dating Expert, Relationship Success Coach and Fred Gleeck both recently talked about personal branding. While I am talking about integrity and ethics, I may as well declare mine is based on:

- Ethics

- Enthusiasm and

- Tenacity

Ethics is not only being true to yourself and having a high moral ground, but also doing your best to deliver the best value to your clients.

There is a subtle difference between being honesty & ethical. You can be honest but not ethical. When I said, “Truth may hurt but lies hurt more in the end”, I didn’t mean to say the truth for the sake of being truthful. We need to deliver the message in the right intensity and at appropriate angles for the personality under analyzed. Some are way more sensitive than others, more visual or more mentally alert. I need to adjust my delivery based on individual case. As Confucius said, “Teach according to the individual person’s abilities and characters.”

Enthusiasm, without ethics, endangers others for selfish gains.

Tenacity, without clear thinking, will simply bump one’s head against the brick wall continuously with futile efforts and focus.

It’s good to use humor to deliver messages, especially the unpleasant ones to make the recipients more receptive and acts on those pointers. We only need to look at the “negatives” a bit harder to bring out the positive side of them. For example, someone who is wordy can capitalize on their long windedness into writing great sales copy, provided s/he gives multiple points for impulsive or decisive buyers to do the transaction, starting from from the top of the sales copy! Successful sales copy in internet based business is unusually long as we need to leave no stone unturned to make it unnecessary for anyone to call for missing details. We need to cater for all types of buyers on the other end.

In doing personality profiles, all we can do is to sow the seeds and provide guidance for the right directions to pursue. We can be the catalysts but NOT the doers. The responsibility to act rests on our clients.

Duane Cunningham’s comment, “Love your integrity….but you need to be able to ‘market’ with the best of them if you got into this to make money!” Yes, I need to remind myself constantly on this. It would be the best while we help others, we can also help ourselves. This can be done & takes time to find the appropriate balance.

Any idea how to replace “tenacity” with a word starts with a “E” so that I can make a triple “E”s for personal branding?

Presentation skills is always important in all aspects in life. When we push the boundary to the extreme, there’s only a fine line between creativity and outright B.S. with smooth wordings. M.B.A. (Master B.S. Artist or Married But Available ) are utmost creative when it comes to cover ups.

Read the short story below:

Superb Presentation Skills

An interoffice softball game was held every year between the marketing and support staff of one company. The support staff whipped the marketing department soundly.

To show just “how” the marketing department earns their keep, they posted this memo on the bulletin board after the game:

“The Marketing Department is pleased to announce that for the 2008 Softball Season, we came in 2nd place, having lost one game all year. The Support Department, however, had a rather dismal season, as they won only one game.”

When it comes to Pure Numerology Readings, I would choose to be a bit awkward with truths rather than smooth expressions wrapped around B.S. Truth may hurt but lies hurt more at the end. The real purpose of delivering a reading is to add value to the client’s life rather than just providing some cheap entertainment.
