I think I got the following tips from Rob Northrup at the last October’s IMC. I wish I remember this saved file when I used the YouTube video from another numerologist to explain the meaning of various Life Paths. Anyway, here is the handy tips:

If you want to link to a specific part of a video on YouTube, you can. For example,

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PjDw3azfZWI#t=31m08s

Notice the “#t=31m08s” on the end of the url? That link will take you 31 minutes and 8 seconds into that video. Linking to a particular minute and second can be really helpful — for example, that link takes you straight to where someone asks Eric Schmidt a question about Twitter. From there, you can listen to his answer, where he says (among other things):

“We’re in favor of all of these new communications mechanisms. …. I think the innovation is great …. Twitter’s success is wonderful, and I think it shows you that there are many, many new ways to communicate, especially if you’re willing to do so publicly.”

However, the upload has an error “Failed (unable to convert video file)”. So effectively, when I click “Play” button, it gives me an error msg: “The video that you have requested is not available.”

Before I clip the one hour long video down to 10 min. long, its video format is Type: H.264. After the trim, it becomes a TotalMedia ShowBiz file with a “.tms” extension. May be this is the problem.

To circumvent the situation, I’m uploading an alternative untrimmed (6-minute) video instead. It’s not as natural as nor as good as one clipped from the live presentation delivered just a few short hours ago. But at least it seems like a successful upload & hence can be watched in YouTube.

The MP4 file, which is 261 MB in size, has taken literally more than 45 minutes and it’s only half way thru! Next time, I’ll use lesser revolution quality to reduce the file size to speed up the process. Even though my cable interent can’t be classified as super fast, it’s definitely not slow. But this upload really takes its time to finish. (Update: I thought I’ll continue to comment while I wait for it to finish. Nope, 3:16am now it gets stuck at the same level of % finished. So I’d better sleep now.)

Update in the next morning: Upload fail. I will alert you all the link once it’s successful.

My Reading report, apart from the one-page form, is delivered over the phone with a recording. If I ever “put it in writing”, it would be based on a transcript done offshore based on the recorded reading.
