Numerology Expert John Ho Needs to Care About His Vox Blog + Google Search Dominates in Australia

For the next two days, I’ll turn my attention to update my Numeroscope Blog at the Vox. So my blog posts would be over there rather than in here.

So far, my Numerology Expert Daily Numeroscope covers from 4th Feburary to 20th May. By this Saturday, its coverage will be up to date. Have a look and comment there if you haven’t checked it out before.

Just read today’s news from Melbourne’s prominent newspaper, The Age that “Australians’ use of Google’s search service represents one of the highest country mnarket shares in the world – about 92 per cent ….. One of Google’s key advantages in the Australian market is that it has tens of thousands of smaller advertisers using only Google as a search engine, allowing Google to deliver a bigger variety and more relevant number of paid search ads alongside other search results.”

Microsoft will unveil its new search engine Bing tomorrow (May 29 2009). Google is pretty profitable from its presence in Australia, having its tax haven in Ireland and avoids the bulk of otherwise possible Australian taxes.

I had no idea Google’s base in Aussie was that big. Not sure I agree with the paper, could be that google is a trusted name.

I recall in Back To The Future, there is a sign saying “do you Yahoo?”, well we missed all of that in the early ninties. Yahoo could have been much bigger. I suspect a narrow focus on Y’s part making the US the center of the world…..nothing else exisits.
