If I remember correctly, Britney Spears was the # 1 Google search in 2008. It does reflect how popular she was then, but it gave no clue as to her personality.

I REALLY don’t want to know what she thinks about the Fed. I would prefer to form my own opinions free from celeb endorsement. I don’t personally follow celebrities too closely (frequently in waiting rooms I see “famous” people on magazine covers having affairs, miracle babies and playing dress-up …..I’ve NO idea who most of these people are…)
It was painful to watch her go through the life crisis that seemed to last years. Great to see her back and doing ok. Wondered what was behind her personality that could have predisposed her to breakdown or was it the unreal amount of attention from the Paps?
Good luck to her. I’d rather not the fame – it brings it’s own type of poverty.

I share Keri’s views on celebrity status.
I believe the news media create celebrities so they can fill their magazines or time slots with minimum time and cost.
Why go out and have to do the work of understanding and then reporting the fraud of the Fed (that’s for you Keri) when you can throw in a few pictures of so and so leaving a restaurant.
What sometimes causes me to despair of the Republic’s chances for survival is that so many of our fellow citizens think there is value in US magazine but are clueless and, worse, uninterested about what’s destroying their wealth and the wealth of the country, and what clear and present danger we are in.
For Keri’s sake I would like to go into a rant here about the crimes of world wide scope committed by the international bankers, the Fed, the IMF, and the World Bank but I have to move on. Sorry Keri.

All celebs get their time of fame and fall. I can’t imagine working that hard to get there and one day after a comment or mishap being the talk of the news because of it. I’m with Don – I don’t follow celebs close at all.
